Intensive Weekends

An Empowerment Circle Weekend Intensive (E-Circle Intensive) is a two full day, non-residential workshop for women, offered to a maximum of 12 participants per workshop.  E-Circle Intensives are facilitated by women from the Empower Women NZ Facilitation Team, who are all part of the EWNZ community and Woman Within International community, having been initiated in the Woman Within Training Weekend.  One of the facilitators on each E-Circle Intensive will be a qualified counsellor/therapist.

The E-Circle Intensive is designed to provide women with the knowledge and tools to continue to deepen their self awareness and relationships, and become more effective in their interactions with others, including in areas such as communication and listening, dealing with conflict, and limitations caused by fear, guilt and shame.

The group setting offers a nurturing environment which allows each woman to develop the sense of safety she needs to speak her truth and be honest with herself and others, while being supportive of the other women in their individual journey of self-growth.

The E-Circle Intensive offers participants educational and practical experience in:

  • Group Dynamics and creating an environment that encourages deep sharing & intimacy
  • Communication Skills: active listening, non-verbal communication, truth telling
  • Support Skills: giving & receiving support, what questions to ask to help a woman find her own answers
  • Understanding Emotions (own & others): identifying & expressing anger, grief, shame, joy, fear
  • Personal Empowerment: setting boundaries, asking for what you want, discovering how your use of language can empower you, learning to be accountable & in integrity
  • Conflict Management

Women who participate in an E-Circle Intensive have the opportunity to then become part of a new or existing Empowerment Circle (E-Circle). Participants are encouraged to form their own E-Circle with women they shared their E-Circle Intensive experience with so they can stay connected and continue to support and challenge each other within a safe, nurturing environment.
