When is the Woman Within Weekend coming to New Zealand?

At this point in time we don’t have a date, but it is something our Focus Group is working towards. However the weekend will be available again in Australia in 2010. See www.wwaustralia.org for more information on Women Within Weekends in Australia.

Do I have to have attended a Woman Within weekend to be part of an E-Circle (Empowerment Circle)?

No. However, we do expect a commitment to attend our Intensive Weekend training, and encourage you to attend a Woman Within training somewhere internationally if at all possible.

Is there something similar for men?

The Mankind Project New Warrior Adventure Training weekend is available in NZ, and these are followed up by I-Groups (Integration Groups). See www.mkp.org.nz for more details.

Where are Intensive Weekends and E-Circles held in NZ?

At present the Intensive Weekend is available in Auckland, but we are looking at offering them in Christchurch and Wellington in the near future. Currently E-Circles are running in Auckland and Christchurch.

Is there an age limit?

18 is the minimum age for attending our Intensive Weekend.

Are there any religious affiliations?

Empower Women NZ is not based on colour, class, sexual orientation, faith, age, ability or nationality.

What support is available if I do either a Woman Within Weekend or Intensive Weekend?

If you have attended a Woman Within Weekend overseas we would encourage you to join an E-Circle and attend an Intensive Weekend in NZ. If you attended one of our Intensive Weekends we encourage the women on that weekend to form an E-Circle together from that group.

Someone I know wants me to do a weekend. Should I?

Only you can answer this question, and we urge you to attend the weekend for yourself, and not to please someone else. These weekends are for you, and only you can decide when you are ready to come.
